Robert N. Berube, of Melrose, passed away at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester on August 4, 2021 at the age of 84. Bob was a quiet man who came from a humble beginning. He lived in Melrose his entire life. He and his wife, Peg, raised six children, and his family was what mattered most to him. Bob worked in the elevator business from the time he was a young man until he retired. He would tell his kids about working on the Prudential Building on "open steel". A real do-it-yourselfer, Bob loved working on his home, project after project... a perfectionist for sure! Bob was married to the late Margaret A. (Cassell) Berube. Loving father of Kathleen Symes, Sandra Berube, both of Melrose, Michael Berube & his wife Robyn, Judith Miskelly and Paul Berube & his wife Elizabeth, all of NH and the late Robert Berube, Jr. Cherished grandfather of Carl, Ricky, Katie, Michael, Myranda, Zachary and Michael. Great grandfather of Matthew, Emma, Max, Eliza, Charlotte, Harrison, Jaxson and Carson. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Funeral service will be private.
