Robert "Bob" L. Maguire, of Saugus, died on January 17, 2021 at the age of 71. Bob was born in Somerville, MA on August 4, 1949. He was raised in Somerville and Wakefield, MA, and graduated from Wakefield High School. After high school Bob earned his Bachelor's Degree from Boston State College and later earned a Master's Degree from San Francisco State College. Bob taught English as a second language locally and overseas, and was a retired lecturer for Boston University. He was an avid reader and news junkie with a thirst for knowledge. He knew all sorts of facts and minutia. Bob was a worldwide traveler and was always looking forward to his next adventure. Bob was the son of the late T. Joseph Maguire & the late Mary (Bowe) Maguire. Step-son of the late Mary C. (Albert) Maguire. Loving brother of Nancy Maguire of Saugus, MaryAnn (Maggie) MacDonough & her husband Herbert of Melrose, Eileen Maguire of Boston, and the late Paul J. Maguire of Melrose. Brother-in-law of Lori Maguire of FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, Jan. 23rd, 2021 at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend.
