Robert Patrick Davey Jr. died suddenly in Melrose on January 18, 2016 at the age of 19. Robert was born in Melrose, was raised in Melrose and was currently a junior at Melrose High School. Mr. Davey had a smile that would light up a room. He enjoyed playing recreational basketball at the YMCA, riding his skateboard, dirt bikes & quads and while he was in elementary school he played baseball in the Incarnation Church League. He liked spending summers in Maine with his dad, enjoyed learning to cook with his mom and going out on the boat to the beach. Robert loved spending time with all his many aunts, uncles & cousins and hanging out with his bet bud Nick and all his friends. He also loved all the family gatherings especially Thanksgiving & Christmas. Robert was the beloved son of Robert P. Davey Sr. of Saugus and Paula N. Penney of Melrose. Cherished nephew of Danny, Kelli, Sean, Sherry, Roxanne, Susan, Lisa, the late Patience, the late John as well as all their spouses. Also survived by numerous loving cousins & friends. Relatives & friends are invited to gather at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 9:00AM – 10:15AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM.
