Robert F. Henick passed away at the Amesbury Village Nursing Home, on January 29, 2008. He was 81 years of age. Robert was born and raised in Melrose, attended Melrose Schools and has been a lifelong resident. Mr. Henick served in the US Navy during WWII from 1943 to 1946. Robert worked as a mail handler for the US Post Office in South Boston, Chelsea and Malden for over 36 years. He was and avid reader, enjoyed working on cars, around the house and in his yard. Robert was the husband of the late Rose M. (Vozella) Henick. Father of Rosemarie DiBiase of Stoneham and Christina Strickland & her husband Bobby Joe of Newton, NH. Grandfather of Robert Zagarella, Stephen Strickland, Angela Strickland and Anthony DiBiase. Brother of Rita Broderick of FL. Funeral service will be private. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
