Robert J. "Bob" Pinkney, of Boston, formerly of Melrose, died at home on Sept. 14th at the age of 53. Bob was born in Malden, raised in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1980. He resided and worked as a waiter for several restaurants in California & New York City for many years and the past 10 years in Boston. Bob loved old movies, traveling and was a great cook. He enjoyed the beach, the ocean and living in the city. Bob was the loving son of Robert & Deborah (Mountford) Pinkney of Londonderry, NH. Caring brother of Deborah Pinkney of NH, Gail Pinkney, Jon Pinkney & his wife Sheri, all of Wakefield, David Pinkney of Malden, Daniel Pinkney of NY and Karen Pinkney of NH. Cherished uncle of Adam, Jenna, Melissa, Tammy and Cody. Nephew of Patricia Buchan of Melrose. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday, Sept. 20th at 1:30PM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours prior to the service from 12-1:30PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
