Robert J. Mulrenan, of Melrose, died at the Massachusetts General Hospital on April 23, 2008 after a brief illness at the age of 79. Bob was born in Woburn, raised in Melrose and a graduate of Malden Catholic High School. He went on to earn his degree from Boston College and worked as the Veteran's Agent for the City of Melrose for over 40 years. Mr. Mulrenan served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of St. Mary's Church in Melrose for many years. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy A. (Buckley) Mulrenan. Loving father of Nancy M. (Mulrenan) Annecchiarico of Bridgewater and James Mulrenan & his wife Donna of Melrose. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Sarah, Kaleigh and Chris. Caring brother of Ruth McCoy of Plum Island & FL, Edward Mulrenan & Kenneth Mulrenan, both of Wakefield, Rev. Richard Mulrenan of Fl and the late Rev. Donald Mulrenan. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday April 26th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
