Robert D. Ricciardelli, died peacefully in Newton, MA on Nov. 2, 2009 at the age of 48. Robert was born in Winthrop on January 6, 1961 to Robert J. Ricciardelli & Alice M. Giles. He was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1979, received his Bachelors degree from Mass College of Art and his Masters of Fine Arts from Temple University. After graduation, he lived in Philadelphia for 10 years before returning home to Melrose to be closer to family & friends. Robert was a gifted artist and owner of RDR Builders for 8 years. He enjoyed Sunday football games with his brother & father, loved to spend time outdoors, running, hiking, snowshoeing and recently taking daily swims in Crystal Lake in Newton. Robert enjoyed political debates and was an avid reader of every newspaper he could find. He passionately shared his political discourse on numerous web sites under the alias Mojoman. These site include the Huffington Post & BlueMassGroup among others. Robert was the loving fiance of Mary Wong of Newton. Devoted son of Robert J. & Alice M. (Giles)Ricciardelli of Melrose. Caring brother of Jean Ricciardelli & her husband David Provencher of Portland, ME, Diane (Ricciardelli) Roberge & her husband Denny of Warner, NH, Margaret Ricciardelli & her partner Joseph Pierro of Danvers, Mary Ricciardelli & her husband David March of Hartford, CT and Bill Ricciardelli & his girlfriend Stephanie Morin of Melrose. Cherished uncle of Cameron, Alyson, Maddyson Provencher and Danielle Roberge. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday, Nov. 6th at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
