Robert S. Bob Taylor, of Medford, formerly of Melrose & Malden, died at the Life Care Center in Stoneham on Dec. 2, 2007 at the age of 83. Bob was born in Melrose, raised in Malden and a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1942. He worked as a Chemical Operator for the Whittemore Wright Company in Charlestown for over 50 years until his retirement at the age of 72. Bob was resident of Medford for the past 52 years. He loved fishing, bowling, reading, sports, horseshoes, country western music, traveling and hunting with his brothers & friends. Bob enjoyed time with his family on vacations on Lake Winnipesaukee for many years and was the ultimate handyman. Beloved husband of Evelyn O. (Johnson) Taylor. Loving father of Linda S. Gordon & her husband Paul of NV, Larry R. Taylor & his wife Esther of Andover, Jill L. Evangelista & her husband Marco of Medford, Jeffrey C. Taylor & his wife Josephine of Tewksbury, David W. Taylor & his wife Carol of Woburn, Debra A. Ferullo & her husband Stephen of Wakefield and the late Linda E. Taylor. Cherished grandfather of Mark, David, Jared, David, Lindsay, Scott, Michael, Adam, Derek, Sean and Justin. Caring great grandfather of Kassidy and Madyson. Devoted brother of Betty Brown, Doris Notorangeli, Donald, Ronald & Richard Taylor and the late Wanda Erlandson & Jane Jeter. Also survived by his late forever pal Mikey. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. A celebration of Bobs life will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday Dec. 7th at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited.
