Roberta Jean (DiFilippo) "Bobbie" Williams of Melrose, died Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was only 52 years old. Born on December 27, 1957 in Stoneham, she was raised in Malden and a 1975 graduate of Malden High School. Bobbie worked part time at the Bank of Boston in Malden Square for 10 years but her real job was taking care of her family and three children. She loved her kids, bingo and the Foxwoods Casino. She was a Melrose resident and member of St. Mary's Church. Roberta was the devoted wife of Lawrence G. Williams with whom they shared 29 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Christopher L. Williams of Melrose, Matthew J. Williams of Wakefield & Lauren R. Williams of Melrose. Cherished daughter of Amelia "Millie" (DiRocco) DiFilippo & the late Joseph DiFilippo. Caring sister of Linda Forgione & her husband James of Saugus, Debra Kandlbauer of Switzerland & Joseph DiFilippo of Everett. Sister-in-law of Bonnie Williams & Brian O'Daly of Brooklyn, NY. Also survived by one niece & many nephews & cousins. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Wednesday, September 29th at 8AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Bobbie's memory at St. Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose at 9AM. Family & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4-8PM.
