Obituary

Roland D. "Grumpy" Amirault passed away at the Life Care Center in Stoneham, on February 11, 2007, he was 69. Roland was born and raised in Malden, graduated from Malden Vocational High School, he lived in Melrose for 40 years and the past 5 years in Florida. Mr. Amirault worked at his father's gas station, Lester Sunoco on Lebanon St. in Melrose for 25 years and then was the owner of Amirault Overhead Door Company of Melrose for 25 years. He was an avid woodworker who loved his trips to Disney World. Roland was the beloved husband of Lois B. (Sullivan) Amirault. Devoted father of Jerry T. Amirault & his wife Linda of Rockland and Kevin J. Amirault & his wife Maura of Reading. Loving brother of Gertrude D'Entremont of N. Reading & the late Anna Amirault. Loving grandfather of Lauren & Catie Amirault. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. A celebration of Roland's life will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday Feb. 16th, from 4-8PM. Family & friends are invited to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Office of Development, Palliative Care Program Fund, 330 Brookline Ave. B.R., Boston 02215.
