Rose M. (Mossali) Melloni of Melrose passed away at the EPOCH Senior Healthcare Center of Melrose on Wednesday, June 13, 2007. She was 93 years old. Born in Cambridge, MA to the late Joseph & Maria (Pellegrini) Mossali, she was raised in Somerville and attended Somerville schools. Mrs. Melloni had lived in Somerville and Arlington before moving to Melrose several years ago. She worked as a sales clerk with The Jordan Marsh Company of Boston for 15 years before her retirement in 1974. Rose was a member of Incarnation Church of Melrose and St. Clements of Somerville. She was a member of Ladies Sodality and a CCD teacher at St. Clements Church. She served as an assistant Girl Scouts Leader and belonged to the senior citizens club of Arlington & Somerville. Rose was the devoted wife of the late Evo Melloni; loving mother of Rosemarie Dittmer & her husband Myron of Melrose and the late Ruth-Ann Santino & her husband Fred of Arlington. Cherished grandmother of Julie-Anne Armstrong & her husband Sean, Joanna Marie Dittmer, Thomas Franklin Dittmer, David John Santino & Gregory James Santino; caring sister of Inez Maligno of Somerville and the late John Mossali, Peter Mossali & Mabel Crovo. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat. June 16th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in the Church of the Incarnation 425 Upham St. Melrose at 10AM. Family & friends invited.
