Rosemarie D. Wooldridge, a resident of Melrose since 1971, passed away on October 23, at age 90. She was born in Somerville, MA on January 17,1934 to Demitrius Mili and Rose Eleanor (Bilangio) Mili.
Rosemarie (Marie) was an accomplished musician, playing the piano at an early age and attended the Boston Conservatory of Music.
She was known as the piano teacher on West Wyoming Ave in Melrose for over 40 years.
At 16, Marie was already competing in music competitions and playing professionally. She was a member of "The Debu-tones" , an all-women's band, starting in the 50's into the 80's. Marie" Mili" Wooldridge was also arranger and musical director for the "We Three", an all-women's singing trio, a group she began working with in high school.
Later in her career she was a musical director for many charitable organizations in Massachusetts where she made many lifelong friends.
Marie was happily married for 62 years to her husband, "Jack", who passed two years ago. She enjoyed traveling with her family to National Parks, Europe, and spending vacation time with her children in NYC, Las Vegas, and Cape Cod.
Recently Marie was living at the Residence at Melrose Station where she enjoyed her time with new friends giving "concerts" and sing-alongs
Her love for music and sharing her joy for it lasted her entire life.
Rosemarie is survived by her son, John Jay Wooldridge and his husband Patrick Flaherty of Ft Lauderdale/Provincetown; her daughter, Lori Glassford and her husband Robert Glassford of Las Vegas.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM in the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM in the Gately Funeral Home. Following the service we will be traveling in procession to Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. Family & Friend's respectfully invited to attend.
