Rosemary L. (Hubbard) Anderson, of Melrose, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on October 19, 2010 at 78 years of age. Rosemary was born in Boston and raised in Somerville & a graduate of Somerville High School. She worked as a Information Operator for the New England Telephone Company in Boston for many years and also as a Lunch Room Mother during the 1970's. Rosemary resided in Medford for several years and Melrose since 1965. She loved movies, cooking, shopping, the Beach and most of all, her family was the most important thing to her. Rosemary loved to travel to Cape Cod and spent many summers in Green Harbor in Marshfield. She was the loving mother of Anmarie Anderson, Karen L. Curry & her husband Stephen, all of Melrose and Patrick H. Anderson & his wife Alicia of Haverhill. Former wife of the late Arthur F. Anderson. Cherished grandmother of Evan P. Anderson & Catherine M. Curry. Devoted sister of Anne Hubbard of Medford, Thomas Hubbard & his wife Patricia of Cape Cod, John Hubbard & his wife Celine of Stoneham and the late Alice Brennan & her husband Austin of Malden. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Monday Oct. 25th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Sunday from 2-6PM. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
