Ruth M. Begley, 85, died at Melrose - Wakefield Hospital after a brief illness. Ruth was born in Malden, moved to Quebec Canada for a few years and then back to Malden where she graduated from Malden High. Ruth and her husband John F. Begley Jr resided in Quincy for 30yrs until his death in 1977 when she moved to Melrose. She was active in the Mont Clair (Quincy) Women's Club , Mont Clair. Ruth was the beloved wife of the late John F. Begley Jr. Devoted mother of John F. 'J ' Begley & his wife Lorene of Milton, David E. Begley & his wife Ellen of Buzzards Bay and Margaret M. ' Maggie ' Albanese & her husband Joe of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of David, Eric, Kristen, Morgan & Jake Begley and Jon & Jaclyn Albanese. and Loving great grandmother of Jack & Emma Begley. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St Melrose on Friday July 19 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thurs 4-8 PM. Memorial Contributions may be sent to the Dutton Adult Health Center, 1175 Main St. Wakefield. Burial will be in Mt.Wollaston Cemetery Quincy.
