Ruth B. (Hopkins) Dorman passed away at the Epoch Senior Care Center on March 13, 2007; she was 77 years old. Ruth was born and raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School. Mrs. Dorman lived in Beverly for 10 years and Melrose for over 35 years. She worked as a manager at Sears & Roebuck in Saugus for over 20 years. Mrs. Dorman enjoyed crossword puzzles, poetry and family gatherings. Mother of Bevely L. Dorman of Everett, Debra E. Ingersoll & her husband Don of FL, Mary G. Gillespie of Melrose and the late Cathy E. Griffin. Former wife of the late Richard W. Dorman. Sister of Louise Yeaton & her husband Bob of Peabody, Jennie Peterson of Melrose, Marie Chadwell of ME, Dorothy Muise of FL & the late Robert Hopkins. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday March 19th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 PM. Interment in Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
