Ruth M. Ferguson died after a long illness Feb. 18th at the age of 91. Ruth was born and raised in Chicago IL and has been living in Melrose the past 64yrs. She was a supervisor at Transitron Co. in Melrose for many years, a longtime member of St. Mary's Church, a member of St. Mary's Ladies Sodality. Ruth was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast and an avid reader. She was the wife of the late William F. Ferguson. Mother of William F. Ferguson of Columbia, MD, John R. of Limerick, ME, Mark J. of Norton, Peter J. of Leominster, Marcia Locore of Melrose and the late Thomas F& Frederick G. Ferguson. Sister of the late Frederick Tanner. Also survived by 33 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St Melrose on Thursday Feb 22 at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church, corner of Myrtle & Herbert Sts, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours prior to the funeral mass from 7:30 to 8:30 am.
