Ruth Margaret (Moulaison) Fernald passed away at Harborside Healthcare in Wakefield, on May 18th, at the age of 82. Ruth was born and raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School and lived in Melrose many years before moving to Wakefield 50 years ago. Mrs. Fernald worked as a secretary for the Gillette Company for over 25 years and did volunteer work the Wakefield Senior Citizens. She was the loving mother of Robert S. Fernald of Wakefield, Stephen S. Fernald & his wife Christine of Woburn & the late Lee S. Fernald. Sister of Francis Moulaison of NH & the late Robert & George Moulaison. Devoted grandmother of Lee S. Johnson, Jennifer N. & Ashley R. Fernald. Great grandmother of Dylan Scott Johnson. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Visiting hours on Friday May 20th, from 4-8 PM. in the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose. Family & friends invited. Funeral & burial will be private.
