Ruth J. (Tobin) Greeley passed away at her daughters home in NH, on August 22nd, at the age of 82. Ruth was born and raised in Somerville, attended Somerville Schools and has been a resident of Melrose since 1952. Mrs. Greeley worked as a nurses aid for many years, enjoyed taking care of the elderly, she worked in the cafeteria at Melrose High School for over 10 years and was a former member of Incarnation Church in Melrose. Ruth was the former wife of William P. Greeley. Mother of James J. Greeley of Saugus, William P. Greeley of Malden, Edward M. Greeley of FL, John J. Greeley of Melrose, Catherine M. Greeley of NH & Maureen Connolly of Wakefield. Sister of Mary Hardy of Somerville & Catherine Hassey of WI. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thurs. Aug. 25th, at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited.
