Ruth J. (Mackenzie) Hill passed away at the Academy Manor in Andover, on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the age of 75. Ruth was born in Somerville on May 31, 1934 to the late Oliver & Gladys (Thomas) MacKenzie . Mrs. Hill was raised in Somerville and attended Somerville Schools. Ruth was a homemaker who worked in retail for Better Homes & Gardens for several years prior to marriage. Mrs. Hill was a dedicated wife and mother who cherished spending time with family. She lived in Lynn for over 30 years, was a member of the Bethaney Church in Lynn, enjoyed walking along the Lynn Beach with her friends and loved music. Beloved wife of the late Norman A. Hill. Loving mother of Stephen G. Hill of Newton, Norma J. Hill of Franklin and Susan J. Federico & her husband Joseph of Melrose. Grandmother of Isabelle & Evan Federico. Funeral services are private. Interment took place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to Alzheimer's Research Assoc., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
