Ruth I. (Luther) Larkin passed away at home on May 9th at the age of 79. Ruth was born in Colver, PA, raised in Pa and graduated from Central Cambria High School in PA. She was a homemaker, lived in Medford for 25 years and Melrose the past 25 years. Ruth was a dedicated mother & grandmother and was a member of St. Mary's Church in Melrose. Mrs. Larkin was the wife of John E. Larkin. Mother of Patricia Murray & her husband James of Andover, Kathleen O'Donnell & her husband Philip of Reading, Judy Sette & her husband Robert of Barre, VT, John E. Larkin Jr. & his wife Lauren of Ridgefield, NJ and Richard J. Larkin of Nashua, NH. Sister of Aileen Myers and Patricia Luther both of PA. Grandmother of Brendan, Breanne, Caitlin, Timothy, Keri, John & Michael. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thurs. May 13th at 8AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 4-8PM. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
