Ruth A. ( Webb ) MacLeod, 86, died unexpectedly Monday at a Lehigh Acres Regional Medical Center, Lehigh Acres FL. Born in Somerville, she was raised in Medford and graduated from Medford High School. She was a salesperson at David's Supply Co in Malden and in1960 she joined the Mass Gas Co. until she retired in 1980. Ruth was a Melrose resident and parishioner of St Mary's Church from 1953 until 1985 when she moved to Lehigh Acres, FL, and was a parishioner of St Raphael's Church in Lehigh Acres. Ruth was the wife of the late Walter E. MacLeod. Mother of Janet R. Stanton and her husband John ' Fran ' Stanton of Melrose. Grandmother of Laura A. Stanton of CA and Kevin J. Stanton of Melrose. Sister of the late William Webb & the late George F. Webb Jr. Aunt of Georgeanne Small of ME. Also survived by many friends and neighbors in Lehigh Acres, FL. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St, Melrose on Sat April 5 at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church, corner of Myrtle & Herbert Sts, Melrose, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited.
