Obituary

Ruth L. (Connolly) Manning died after a long illness at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on April 22nd. Ruth was born and raised in Melrose, graduated from St. Mary's Grammar & St. Mary's High School in Melrose and has been a lifelong resident of Melrose. Ruth was a homemaker, a longtime member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenwood and a member of The Most Blessed Sacrament Guild. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Manning. Mother of Joan L. Tufts of Woburn, Ruth L. Manni of Wilmington and Mary Lou Oatis of Melrose. Sister of Mary Lorance of Stoneham and the late Joseph Connolly, Frances McGonigle and Irene MacCallum. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thurs. April 25th at 9:30 AM. Funeral mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1155 Main St. Wakefield at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham 01701. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery Stoneham.
