Salvatore J. DAmico passed away at Kindred Hospital in Peabody, after a short illness, he was 79. Mr. DAmico was born and raised in the West End of Boston, graduated from Mechanics High School in Boston, lived in Somerville & Winchester for several years and Woburn since 1996. Salvatore was an electrical optical engineer working on satellites for the LOreal Company of Lexington for 15 years and for Itech & Honeywell for several years. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of the World of Health Club in Burlington. Salvatore was the husband of Nancy L. (Sears) DAmico. Father of Kristine N. Kinney & her husband Michael of Dracut and Sharyn Jordan & her husband Eric of Methuen. Son of the late James & Mary (Zandi) DAmico. Brother of Joanne Diana of Melrose, Marguerite DiBlasi of Winchester and James DAmico of VA. Grandfather of Shane & Shawna Kinney. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held at Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday June 10th, at 7:00PM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday from 3:00PM 7:00PM.
