Sandra (Moriarty)Phillips, of Melrose, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on June 24, 2007 at the age of 72. Sandra was born in Somerville, raised in Quincy and a graduate of Regis College and Salem State College. She was a homemaker and a Melrose resident for many years. Sandra was the beloved wife of Attorney James G. Phillips for 49 years. Loving mother of James G. Phillips Jr. & his wife Beth of Winthrop, David S. Phillips of MO and the late Mark A. Phillips. Cherished grandmother of James G. Phillips III and David S. Phillips Jr. Caring sister of Edmund Moriarty Jr. of Melrose. Also survived by several nephews. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Thursday June 28th at 4:00PM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 2:00-4:00PM. Burial will be private.
