Scott A. Kingsley, of Melrose Ma, passed away suddenly on November 28th, 2022 at the age of 69. Scott was born in Melrose, grew up in Malden and graduated from Malden High School in 1971. He later moved to Melrose in 1984 where he raised a family with his Beloved wife of 47 years, Andrea E. (Berube). Loving father of Sean Kingsley & his wife Kristen of Lynnfield, Allison Parker & her husband Justin of Gardner and Heather Kingsley of Quincy. Caring brother of Pamela J. Avery. Proud grandfather of Roman, Brayden, Hunter & Teagan. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends

Scott was dedicated to serving the community as a Constable for over 48 years. He further served as a U.S.C.G. 100 Ton licensed Master Mariner and was Ferry Captain for the town of Winthrop's Motor Vessel Valkyere. In 2004, Scott returned to school and attended Northeastern University, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Leadership and Finance. He then went on to earn a professional doctorate and first professional graduate degree in law from Massachusetts School of Law.

Apart from his education and careers, Scott had a long list of hobbies he relished in. In his younger years he was an active Amateur Radio Operator and developed an interest for designing websites. He enjoyed spending his free time volunteering for the Melrose Emergency Management Agency. Scott had a lifelong passion for boating and even took up scuba diving. In his later years he was a member of the Ancients and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts - a patriotic service organization preserving historic traditions of Boston. Throughout his life he enjoyed spending much of his time with family, friends and two pups Harley and Cooper at his family summer home in Gloucester Ma.

Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 4:00-7:00PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00PM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice
