Sharon Ann (Sullivan) Barry-McLaughlin, of Wilmington, formerly of Melrose, died at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading on Jan. 31, 2014 at the age of 63. Sharon was born in Cambridge, raised in Somerville and a graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 1968. She went on to Bunker Hill Community College and earned her nursing degree from Somerville Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1993. Sharon worked as a Registered Nurse at the Fairlawn Nursing Home in Lexington before retiring to take care of her late husband. Sharon was very proud of her "Irish-American Heritage" and her family & many friends were the most import part of her life. Sharon was the loving daughter of the late Daniel & Katherine (Missett) Sullivan. Devoted wife of the late Philip S. Barry & the late John M. "Jack" McLaughlin. Caring sister of Mary E. McCool of Derry, NH, Lorna Dynan & her husband Joseph of Melrose, Daniel J. Sullivan and his companion Maureen Graziano of Stoneham and Richard J. Sullivan & his wife Kathleen of Concord. Also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews and grandnieces & grandnephews. A Celebration of Sharon's life will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Tuesday, Feb. 4th at 11AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours on Monday from 4-8PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sharon's name to the charity of your choice.
