Shirley M. (Talieri) Liskowsky, of Melrose, died at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Wakefield on June 24, 2014 at the age of 86. Shirley was born in Springfield, raised in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1945. She resided in Malden for 25 years and Melrose for many years. Shirley worked for Tri Cap Fuel Assistance in Malden, Transitron in Wakefield and Johnny's Foodmaster in Melrose for many years before her retirement at the age of 84. Shirley enjoyed going to Suffolk Downs with her late husband. Her family was the most important part of her life and she loved to spend her time cooking Sunday dinners for her family and many friends. Shirley was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Liskowsky, Sr. Loving mother of Susan M. Mooskian & her husband John of Saugus and Joseph Liskowsky Jr. & Bonnie McNaney of Derry NH. Sister of Ann Farrell of Melrose and the late Marcia Hume. Grandmother of Stephen Martineau & his wife Cindy, of Saugus, John Mooskian & his wife Janelle of ME and Joseph P. Liskowsky & his wife Jaime Stout of Saugus. Great grandmother of Amanda & Derek Martineau, Cora Stout, Alice Mooskian and John J. Mooskian, Jr. Also survived by her extended family, Brie-Ann Mensinger, Kelsey McNaney, Kaylee Mensinger, Jacob Mensinger, Athon Stone and several nieces, nephews, cousins & many friends. A Funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday, June 30th at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours on Monday prior to the service from 9:00-11:00AM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, P.O.
