Sophie M. (Kosmaciewski) Opacki passed away at Melrose Wakefield Hospital on Saturday June 5, 2004 at the age of 89. She was raised in Woburn and Dorchester and has been a resident of Melrose for over 50 years. She was a homemaker and devoted mother. Sophie was the wife of the late Dominic F. Opacki. Mother of Barbara Moore of Melrose, Paul J. Opacki of Cambridge, Richard W. Opacki of Melrose, Donna Smoller of Chatham, Dorothy McDonnell of NH and Stephen Opacki of Nahant. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be private. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
