Stephan F. Gross of Melrose passed away at his home on June 15, 2007. He was only 51 years old. Born in Chicago, Illinois on December 24, 1955 to Joseph & Anna (Hajpek) Gross, he was raised in Chicago and graduated from St. Ignatius Prep School and later received his Bachelors Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Stephan was a resident of Melrose for the last 27 years. He enjoyed computers, crossword puzzles, Sudoku, watching the Red Sox with his sons Joseph & Jeremy and the Style Network with his daughter Elise. Mr. Gross was employed as an engineer with the General Electric of Lynn for 28 years. He was the loving husband of 27 years to Ellen J. Budnick-Gross, father of Joseph Ravgiala & his wife Erin of Fitchburg, Elise Gross of Melrose & Jeremy Gross, also of Melrose. Cherished grandfather of Emma Rylie Ravgiala. Caring brother of Theresa Bendik of Chicago. A celebration of Stephan's life will be held at the family home on Saturday, June 23 at 2 PM. Friends are invited to 988 Franklin St. Melrose, MA 02176.
