Obituary

Stephen Patrick Kiley January 1933 – April 2018 He said it best just two days before his passing Wednesday 11 April, " God knows the way and all is good" His faith led the way from here where he was a Dad, husband, brother, Uncle, business partner, coach and teammate for 85 years. His persistence carried him from his childhood home and work on Kiley Farm in Melrose to St. Mary's Elementary School, Malden Catholic('51) and Norwich University('55) before completing his army service in Germany. With his wife 40 years, Audrey (Mongeau) Kiley, his family grew to five children living and prospering in Lynnfield and Wakefield. The camaraderie and sportsmanship from his own example was a lesson we hope to carry forward, along with his enduring faith and mostly, his persistence. He was the son of the late Michael Francis and Ann Hegerty Kiley of Ireland and Melrose. He is survived by his siblings and families, Ann Grazewski, Philomena Carmichael, Kevin and wife Carol Kiley. His children, Carolyn, Patrick, Joanne, Michael and Paul. Spouses and grandchildren: Richard and Caitlyn, Dayna, Padraig and Duncan, Susanne, Sara, Amanda and Kevin, Denise, Julia, Bryce and Jackson. In-Laws Paul and Joan Mongeau and Philip and Nancy Mongeau and many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Bruddy. He is a pre-deceased by Barbara (Poock) Kiley, his loving second wife. We are forever grateful for the love and support of all who knew and cared for him including Paul and Joan, our siblings by extension, and neighbors Joan and Bill Snell. His longtime business partner Larry O'Rourke, with whom he had their manufacturer representative business SNS Sales, is like another brother. The caring and compassionate help of so many enriched our lives. Dr. Sen and Carol Roberts, PA, his helper Elaine Leach, all our Sunrise Assisted Living of Lynnfield family, Michelle and all from Excella and the All Care Hospice Team. And, special thanks to Melrose Wakefield Hospital where Mom worked for 40 years in the maternity ward and where Dad received excellent care. We are extremely grateful to you all.
