Steven R. Dow passed away suddenly at the Saints Memorial Hospital in Lowell on Tuesday April 14th. He was 42 years of age. Mr. Dow was born and raised in Melrose, attended Melrose Schools, lived in Malden for a few years and most of his life in Melrose. He was a talented self-employed handy-man who was good at whatever he set his mind to. Steven was devoted to his 2 sons, enjoyed fishing and camping in New Hampshire. He was the devoted father of Steven T. Dow of Melrose and Kevin P. Dow of North Reading. Loving son of Carolyn (Dow) Rogers. Former husband of Leah (Ward) Dow of N. Reading. Brother of Brenda Wong, Denise Nieman-Morrill and Debbie Cannon. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sunday, April 19th from 2:00-4:00PM. Followed by a service at the funeral home at 4PM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose will be private.
