Steven E. Zeke McGuire passed away suddenly on February 13, 2007, he was 41 years of age. Zeke was born in Cambridge, raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School and the Fire Fighter Academy in Stowe, MA. He started working for the Melrose Fire Department in 1986 and was a dedicated firefighter for 17 years. He loved wrestling, tatoos and his dog Rocky. Mr. McGuire has been a lifelong resident in Melrose. He was the husband of Stacey L. (McManus) McGuire. Father of Eric T. McManus & Zachary Steven McGuire. Son of Mary L. (Hardy) McGuire of Malden & Joseph L. McGuire & his wife Linda of Peabody. Brother of Joseph R. McGuire of NH, Mary E. Turner of Milton, Michelle McGuire of Wakefield & Maureen M. McGuire of Melrose. Son-in-law of Edward & Elizabeth McManus of FL. Brother-in-law of Debra McManus of Barnstable, Donna Saunders of N. Reading, Edward & Paul McManus both of Quincy, Glen & Shaun McManus both of Melrose and Karen McManus of Lowell. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday, Feb. 16th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Thurs. 4-8PM.
