Suntina (D'Antilio) "Sue" Dooley of Melrose died on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. She was 93 years old. Born on June 16, 1918 in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Ario & Mary (Torri) D'Antilio. Sue was raised in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School. A lifelong Melrose resident, she was a homemaker and volunteer Lunch Mother at the Lincoln & Washington School in Melrose for many years. Sue enjoyed dancing with her husband Arthur, sitting outside with her sister Louise, cooking, traveling, times with her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren, the Golden Nails Group & her favorite T.V. show, Dancing with the Stars. Sue was the devoted wife of the late Arthur S. Dooley, with whom they shared 61 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Arthur Dooley of NH, Walter Dooley, also of NH & Susan Ackroyd of Melrose. Cherished Grandmother of Lisa Martinez, Tracy Donattelli, Evan & Elizabeth Dooley & Michelle & Kristin. Special great grandmother of Kanin, Jeovany, Tameron & Maxwell. Caring sister of Walter D'Antilio of Maine & the late Louise Fiandaca. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins. Visiting hours Sunday, June 10th from 2-6PM in the Gately Funeral Home 79 W.
