Susan M. (Abruzzese) Andresen passed away at Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley in Billerica on June 22, 2016. She was 94 years of age. Susan was born in Boston on February 14, 1922 to the late Michele & Assunta (Scopettuolo) Abruzzese. She was raised in Medford and graduated from Medford High School. Mrs. Andresen was a homemaker, she lived in Melrose most of her life before moving to Salem, NH in 2005. Susan loved to cook and enjoyed taking trips with her late husband Frederick, especially the cruise they took to Norway.Mrs. Andresen was the wife of the late Frederick Andresen. Step mother of the late Scott F. Andresen. Sister of the late Getsina Abruzzese, Frank Abruzzese, Lena Sprizza & Mafalda Palladino. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Monday, June 27, 2016, from 9:00-10:00AM, followed by a service in the funeral home at 10AM. Burial will follow at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend.
