Susan Jean Long was born October 30, 1962, in Medford to Brian K Long and Ruthann Dow and died on May 5, 2025, in Kansas.

Susan grew up in Melrose, graduating from Melrose High school in 1980. She enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1986 and finished with an honorable discharge in 1994. Then moved to Leavenworth Kansas and worked as a CNA for many years. Susan loved her job and was very good at taking care of people who needed it.

Susan had many friends as she was an outgoing girl with a quick wit and a loyal, generous heart. She was an avid sports fan, rooting for her Boston Bruins and Patriots. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.

Susan was predeceased by her parents. She leaves her sister Kathryn Crowley and her husband George Crowley, her niece Victoria Stoddart and partner James and their daughter Amelia, her nephew Devin Stoddart and wife Kiersten. She also leaves many cousins and friends. Interment will be private.
