Susan M. (Buxton) Mountford died at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital Nov. 11th at the age of 92. She was born and raised in Malden, graduated from Malden High School and attended Burdette Business School. Susan lived most of her life in Malden and the past 20yrs in Melrose. Susan worked as a lineworker for National Radio Co. during WWII for several years, as a secretary in Boston for many years and as a cook at MacKenzie Nursing Home in Melrose for 10yrs. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Mountford. Mother of Deborah J. Pinkney & her husband of Robert of Melrose. Sister of Lucie Lee of NH. Grandmother of Debbie, Gail, Karen Pinkney all of Melrose, Robert of E.Boston, Jon & David Pinkney of Wakefield and Daniel of Charlestown. Great grandmother of Adam, Jenna, Melissa, Tammy Jo and Cody. Funeral services will be held at Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Wed. Nov. 14th at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held Wed. morning from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Burial in Forest Dale Cemetery Malden.
