Suzanne Elizabeth Ingalls of Melrose, MA, peacefully passed away on December 24th, 2025 surrounded by family and loved ones at the age of 85. Suzanne was born on August 15th, 1940 in Winthrop MA to late parents Wilbur Earl Hudlin and Dorothy Marie McCarthy and growing up predominantly in Melrose. She worked at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for many years as well as Elmhurst Nursing Home. She loved her weekly nights at Bingo with her usual group of friends and loved to get her hair and nails done whenever she could.
Beloved sister to Bobby Hudlin, Marcia Woods, Nancy Collins and Betsy Mattuchio. Devoted wife to her late husband Lee Ingalls. She is survived by her children Cheryl Foley Murphy of Melrose and Jim and Jodie Foley of Aliso Viejo, CA. Step-mother to Mark & Sheri Ingalls of North Easton, Keith & Leslie Ingalls of Wakefield, Lee Ann & Francis Coleman of Plymouth, Diane Brackett of Wakefield, and Jeanette & Richard Waugh of Tewksbury. She was the best grandmother who adored her 20 grandchildren as well as a new great grandmother to her two great grandsons Cameron and Zayn. Her love for her family will be missed by all.
Visiting Hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 9:00-11:00AM. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM inside the funeral home immediately following the visitation. Burial to follow the service at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., Peabody, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
