Suzanne M. (Masci) MacKinnon passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, on Wednesday September 28, 2011. She was 62 years of age. Suzanne was born in Cambridge on December 7, 1948, was raised in Cambridge, Somerville and Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School, Class of 1967. Mrs. MacKinnon worked as a medical assistant for the Lahey Clinic in Arlington for 23 years. She enjoyed cooking, large crowds and entertaining. Suzanne especially loved the times spent with her grandchildren. Mrs. MacKinnon was a longtime resident of Melrose, liked spending time at her summer home in Ogunquit Maine over the past 14 years and was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Wakefield. Suzanne was the devoted wife of 40 years to Peter A. MacKinnon. Beloved mother of Kelly-Ann Manuel & her husband John of Weymouth and Peter A. MacKinnon Jr. & his wife Jennifer of Lynn. Cherished grandmother of Connor Manuel, Drew & Cole MacKinnon. Loving daughter of Marie (Thomas) Masci & the late Sam Masci of Arlington. Loving sister of Elaine Cowie of Billerica and Anthony Masci & his wife Denise of Arlington. Sister-in-law of Paul MacKinnon & his wife Kate Foley of Holden. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Monday October 3rd at 8:45AM. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Suzanne's life will be held at St. Joseph's Church, 173 Albion St. Wakefield, at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
