Thelma Mae (Clarke) Collins died after a long illness at Lifecare Center of Merrimack Valley on Tuesday July 29th at the age of 82. She was born in Medford, graduated from Medford High School, lived in Somerville, Malden, Melrose for 18 years, Dennisport for a few years and the past several years in Stoneham. Thelma was a homemaker to her seven children, was a former member and CCD teacher at St. Mary's Church in Melrose. Thelma was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Stoneham and had also taught CCD at St. Patrick's Church. She was the wife of the late Paul R. Collins. Mother of Mary Lee Garrant & her husband Al of NH, Robert Collins & his wife Linda of Melrose, Beverly Fuccione & her husband Peter of Lynnfield, Steven Collins & his wife Susan of Middleton, Valarie Anderson & her husband Robert of Orleans, Richard Collins & his wife Maryanne of NH and David Collins & his wife Lucille of Woburn. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday Aug. 1st at 9:30AM. Funeral mass in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral mass on Friday morning from 8:30-9:30AM.
