Obituary

Thelma G. Marshall died suddenly at home April 1st at the age of 77. Thelma was born in East Boston, raised in Medford, graduated from high school there, lived in Melrose for 11yrs, Malden for 25yrs and the past few months in Melrose. During WWII Thelma worked at the Charlestown Naval Yard, after the Navy Yard she worked as a waitress for Joseph's Catering Co. of Woburn for 15yrs. She was a former member of the 1st Congregational Church in Melrose. She was the wife of the late Edward D. Marshall. Mother of William D. Marshall & his wife Mary of N.Billerica and Cheryl B. Kronhaus & her husband Eric of Reading. Sister of Frances Prest of NH, Herbert Newell of Woburn, Wilfred Newell of Malden and the late Evangelyn Stoddard, Bill & Arthur Newell. Grandmother of Gina Krewin of N Billerica, Dana Kerwin of Woburn, Emily & Michael Kronhaus both of Reading. Great grandmother of Dylan, Jerrell & Jacob. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thurs April 5th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 4-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics 1654 Mass. Ave. Cambridge. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
