Theresa Dorothy (Bavaro) Kapchus, 95, of Melrose, died on September 28. She was the wife of the late Alphonse Kapchus; sister of Joseph Bavaro of Lynn, MA; mother of the late Donna Kapchus Guidara and her husband John of Winchester, MA; Paul Kapchus and his wife Deborah of Enfield, CT. Grandmother of Keith Guidara and his wife Nicole of Winchester, MA; Alyssa Guidara Moog and her husband Jonathon of Western Springs, IL; Adam Kapchus and his wife Shelly of Fort Benning, GA; Erik Kapchus and his wife Elizabeth of West Simsbury, CT. Great-grandmother of Justin Guidara of Winchester, MA; Chloe and Lily Kapchus of Fort Benning, GA; Cameron and Matthew Moog of Western Springs, IL. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and their children. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Thursday, October 4, from 8:30-9:30 AM, followed by a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham, MA. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
