Theresa (Muraco) Nappa, of Melrose, died at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford on Nov. 10, 2016 at the age of 97. Theresa was born & raised in Winchester and a graduate of Winchester High School. She resided in Melrose for over 65 years and worked in Catalog Phone Sales for Sears in Saugus for many years. Theresa was an excellent cook & enjoyed candlepin bowling, ceramics and was a member of the St. Mary's Church Emblem Club in Melrose. She & her late husband enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, Florida and the islands. Theresa loved spending time with family on Suncook Lake in New Hampshire and her family was the most important part of her life. She was the beloved wife of the late John Nappa, Sr. for over 50 years. Loving mother of John Nappa, Jr. & his wife Mary of N. Chelmsford. Cherished grandmother of Adam & Lindsey Nappa, both of N. Chelmsford. Caring great grandmother of Alayna Nappa-Keefe. Devoted sister of the late Anna Merino, Frances Sylvester, Phil Muraco, Gaspar Muraco, Francis Muraco, Mary Casalinuovo and Grace Mistretta. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday, Nov. 15th from 8:30-10:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 10:30AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Theresa's memory to the charity of your choice.
