Theresa M. (Keeler) Winslow, a lifelong resident of Melrose, died peacefully on June 7, 2026. She was born in Melrose on February 19, 1929 to the late Helena (Sullivan) and Frank Keeler. Theresa was raised in Melrose and graduated from St. Mary’s Grammar and High Schools.
Theresa was a lifetime member of the St. Mary’s Ladies Sodality and a founding member of the St. Mary’s Rosary Group. She also volunteered her time for over 30 years teaching CCD at St. Mary’s. Theresa married her late husband, Leonard, at St. Mary’s and they remained in Melrose to raise their own family. Her life was devoted to her family and her faith.
Theresa was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Winslow. Loving mother of Edward Winslow & his wife Ann of Amesbury, Thomas Winslow & his wife Karen of Winchester, James Winslow & his wife Christine Shaw of North Woodstock, NH, Joseph Winslow & his wife Deborah of Melrose, and the late Mary-Jane Woodside. Mother-in-law of Harvey Woodside & his partner Nancy Norris of Tilton, NH. Proud grandmother of Rachel Winslow, Jill Glynn & her husband Michael, Chris Winslow & his wife Danielle, Kim Winslow, Megan Winslow, Luke Sanchez Shaw, Sarah Winslow, Meredith Viera & her partner Rachael, and Melissa Prunier. Theresa is also survived by twelve loving great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Demers and her brother George Keeler.
Visiting Hours will be held from 4:00-7:00pm on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday, June 12, 2026, at St. Mary's Church, 4 Herbert St., Melrose. Burial to follow the mass at St. Patrick Cemetery, 120 Elm St., Stoneham, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church, 46 Myrtle St., Melrose.
