Thomas H. Gorman Sr. passed away at home on May 13th at the age of 64. Tom was born in Boston, raised in Dorchester, graduated from Christopher Columbus High in the North End and attended Northeastern University. He worked as a clerk for the US Post Office in the Airmail Facility at Logan International Airport for 40 years. Tom has been a resident of Melrose for the past 37 years and was a member of the Irish American Club in Malden. He was the beloved husband of Jean (MacDonald) Gorman. Devoted father of Thomas H. Gorman Jr. of Melrose, Laura Towey & her husband James of Salem, Linda Whelan & her husband Charles of Melrose, Kathleen Gorman & Peter Sampson of Malden and Margaret Thompson of CA. Loving brother Joan Cassano of Walpole. Cherished grandfather of Jimmy & Katherine Towey, John Sampson, Patrick & Jacqueline Whelan. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday May 16th at 9AM. Funeral mass in The Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thurs. 4-9PM.
