Thomas P. Greelish passed away at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Stoneham, on February 27, 2014. He was 80 years of age. Mr. Greelish was born in Melrose on May 1, 1933. He was raised in Melrose and graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in 1951. Thomas worked as a manufacturing supervisor at the Polaroid Corporation for over 25 years. He lived in Melrose for many years, several years in Saugus and the past few years in Stoneham. Mr. Greelish was an avid Boston sports fan. Thomas was the beloved son of the late John & Margaret (Sullivan) Greelish. Brother of John Greelish and his companion Patricia Paquette, the late Mary Foley & her late husband John, the late Joseph & his wife Beatrice, Barbara O'Brien & her late husband Thomas, James Greelish & his wife Beverly, the late Eileen Butt & her husband Edward and Kevin Greelish & his wife Suzanne. Also survived by his former wife Marilyn, their daughters Margaret Pironti, Jeanette Gillard and the late Elizabeth Bauer and Deborah Trowbridge; all of California. Tom is also survived by eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday March 7th, from 9:00-10:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial to follow at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
