Thomas J. Hunt passed away at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on July 16, 2023, at the age of 82, Thomas was born in Boston, MA on June 7, 1941 to the Late Thomas & Anna (Connolly) Hunt.

Thomas was a proud "Townie".

With honor Thomas served his country after graduating from Melrose High School as a proud member of the U.S Navy. He was a proud plumber for the Local 12 Union for many years.

Thomas was a proud grandfather. He enjoyed having summertime cookouts and pool parties with the family. He and his wife Sandra enjoyed taking trips to Hampton Beach & Loved playing his daily number.

Thomas was the devoted husband of 58 years to Sandra (Spinney) Hunt. Loving father to Lori – Anne Hunt of Saugus, Stephen Hunt & his wife Bethany of Florida, Kristin Reedy & her husband Michael of New Hampshire, Nichole Murray & her husband Jeff of Westford, Renee Marceau & her husband Roger III of Wakefield & Jeff Hunt of Beverly. Grandfather of Allison, Kaitlin, Nicole, Connor, Emily, Keira, Thomas, Kendall, Benjamin & Gabriella. Brother of James J. Hunt, Sr., the late William Hunt, and the late Marilyn Moriello.

Visiting hours will be held in the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary's Church, Herbert Street, Melrose. Interment Will be in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. Family, Relatives & Friends respectfully invited to attend.
