Thomas L. Pennell, of Melrose, formerly of Chelsea, died at his home on Aug. 28, 2007 at the age of 73. Tom was born & raised in Chelsea, and attended St. Roses School & Chelsea High School. After High School, Tom served in the Army during the Korean War and was awarded 3 Bronzes Stars. He worked many jobs through out his career, Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service, House Painter, Cab Driver and the past several years as a Custodian for the Winthrop School in Melrose. Tom was the loving companion of Joan C. Green of Melrose. Devoted sister of Eileen M. LaMonte & her late husband Vincent of Newport Richey, Fl. Cherished uncle of Robert, Paul & Stephen LaMonte and Patricia McDonough. Funeral arrangements will be private. Arrangements by the Gately Funeral Home, Melrose.
