Thomas F. Spencer Jr. passed away in Danvers on July 6, 2010. He was 86 years of age. Thomas was raised in Saugus, graduated from Malden Catholic High School, Boston College and the New England School of Law. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a longtime Melrose resident. Mr. Spencer had a law practice in Saugus, MA for over 30 years. He enjoyed working and loved to spend time with his family. Mr. Spencer was the loving husband of the late Catherine J. (Reehill) Spencer. Father of Kathleen S. Magnan & Richard of Saugus, Thomas F. Spencer III & Nancy of NH, Brian J. Spencer & Diane of Danvers, Kevin C. Spencer & Diane of Boxford, Mary Frances Spencer & Bob Curry of Saugus, Neil P. Spencer & Joan of Beverly, Daniel J. Spencer & Mary Jane of Beverly. Grandfather of Allison & Amanda Magnan, Todd & Jeff Spencer, Sarah Cormier, Kevin, Lauren & Eric Spencer, Alec & Nolan Spencer and Daniel & Seamus Spencer. Brother of Paul Spencer of Melrose, Jack Spencer of Middleton, Audrey Bertrand of Saugus, Joyce O'Leary of TN & the late June York and Gerald Spencer. Beloved brother-in-law of Kellie Howland. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday, July 9th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in The Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8PM.
