Thomasina (Ciulla) Pezzarossi of Melrose, died on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Annemark Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Revere. She was 90 years of age. Born on March 5, 1919, in Boston, a daughter to the late Thomas Ciulla who passed away one week before Thomasina was born and Nancy Ciulla. She was raised in Everett and a graduate of Everett High School. She worked in the Schraft's Candy Company of Charlestown for a few years and then as a Bookkeeper with the Algy Shoe Company of Everett for 12 years. Mrs. Pezzarossi was a resident of Melrose for 49 years and a founding member of the Church of the Incarnation of Melrose. She enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, bowling, reading, swimming in her pool and bocce games in her backyard court. Thomasina was the devoted wife of the late Battista F. "Fred" Pezzarossi, with whom they shared 60 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Thomas J. Pezzarossi & his wife Karen of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Matthew Pezzarossi & his wife Lisa of Saugus, Susan Valley & her husband Derek, also of Saugus, Amy Hatch & her husband James of Tewksbury & Jennifer Valley & her husband Michael of Melrose. Great grandmother of Haley, Sydnie, Samantha, Lindsay, Brooke, Jessica & Cameron. Caring sister of Josephine Gregorio of Melrose & the late Rose Guanci, Melchiore Ciulla & Sam Ciulla. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday, February 20th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in her memory will be celebrated in the Church of the Incarnation 425 Upham St., Melrose at 10AM. Family & friends respectfully invited.
