Timothy J. Galvin died unexpectedly in Orlando Florida on business Feb.12th at the age of 35. Tim was born and raised in Melrose, graduated from Malden Catholic High School Class of 1984 and attended Wentworth Institute in Boston. He lettered in football and track during his four years at Malden Catholic. Tim lived most of his life in Melrose and the past 2yrs in Saugus. He worked as a sales rep. in the high tech computer software field for several years and the past few months for the software company ARC Associates in Dedham. Tim also has had his own DJ business, T & T Entertainment, for the past 8yrs in Melrose and the surrounding communities. He was the husband of Michelle M. (Garten) Galvin. Father of Brendan C. & Timothy J. Galvin. Son of Bartholomew & Eleanor (Shea) Galvin of Melrose. Brother of Dennis B. Galvin, Kathleen M. Sherman and Shelia M. Lepore all of Melrose. Grandson of Margaret T. Shea of Melrose. Son-in-law of William K. & Carmella (Coco) Garten of Saugus. Brother-in-law of Steven & Gregory Garten of Saugus. Grandson-in-law of Carol Coco of Saugus. Also survived by 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat. Feb.16th at 10AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church corner of Herbert & Myrtle Sts. Melrose at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
